You can draw the entire layout in LXBeams from scratch. Or, you can export the current ( non-automatic) layout as a .lxdconfig file and import it into LXBeams. This saves the trouble of generating a lot of channel fields. In either case, you arrange the channel fields as you like and add text fields as labels and maybe a few simple lines. When you are done, you export a .lxdconfig file from LXBeams and import it into LXConsole's display options. Going step by step:

1) In LXConsole choose View->Display Options...

2) Select an existing display configuration that does not have "Automatic Layout" selected. (You can always add one and uncheck the "Automatic Layout" box.)

3) Select "Export Configuration" from the popup menu under the configurations table.

4) Save the configuration (.lxdconfig file) to the Desktop or another easy to find location.

5) Leave the Display Options sheet open and switch to LXBeams.

5) In LXBeams choose File->Import->Data...

6) Locate the .lxdconfig file created in step #4 and click Open.

7) Re-arrange the channels, add text labels and/or lines.

8) Choose File->Export...

9) In the Save Panel, choose LXConsole Display Config from the popup menu at the bottom.

10) Save the .lxdconfig file to the Desktop or another easy to find location.

11) In LXConsole, in the Display Options sheet, select "Import Configuration" from the popup menu under the configurations table.

12) Locate the .lxdconfig file created in step #10 and click Open.

13) There will be a new configuration titled "LXBeams Exported" in the configurations table.

14) Select this configuration (click the radio button in the first column).

15) Click Apply and/or OK.
