MIDI notes to control different cues

Post by Fausto »

Hi all,

I was wondering if there is a way to associate a MIDI note to specific cues (or submasters)?

for example:
MIDI note 62 = GO cue 1
MIDI note 63 = GO cue 2
MIDI note 64 = GO cue 3
etc..

I am successfully controlling the GO button by sending a MIDI note, and that was very straight forward, but I need to control the cues in a slightly different way this time.

Any help or tips to point me in the right direction would be appreciated!

cheers,
Fausto

Choose Help->LXConsole Help.

From the list of topics choose "Setup Window"

From the list of the tabs of the setup window on the left side, choose "MIDI"

The first paragraph under the heading "MIDI Action Commands" explains the syntax to trigger a discrete cue.

You simply need to associate the note on trigger with the command to trigger the cue.

As a side note, the second paragraph under "MIDI Action Commands" contains an outdated note. The live controls are now part of the main window and so commands related to
GO, Stop, Back, Hold, etc. are always processed.
