Hello,

I'm using LXconsole for theater show since 1 year.
It's work's very well.

I've a problem since this morning I can't send any DMX signal.
When I start LX there is a error message "hardware is not able to use api 2"
I use a enttec usb pro MK2.
I fond it on the preference menu DMX out.
Is it an hardware problem ?
Thanks I'have a show this evening i'm a bit stress

Finaly I fond a solution.

It was in the DMX info I change D2XX driver to cu.usbserial and it's works
I curious about the difference. I was almost sure to use the D2XX before.
It seems also a bit slower in the answer.
But any way it's do the job. I'm reassured

Did you just upgrade to Mavericks?

If you are using LXConsole with Mavericks and a DMX USB Pro, see the following from ENTTEC:

http://www.enttec.com/support-center/kb ... _IMPORTANT

Follow the instructions there to disable the Mavericks driver and to restore your ability to use d2xx.

Hi I am having the same issue. I have disabled the Mavericks driver but still comes up with the error message.

It was working fine but it crashed during a show and we have not been able to get LXConsole communication back to DMX USB Pro Mk2 and QLab to run LX.

Any ideas?

Any help you can give much appreciated.

Thanks Zoe

If you simultaneously started having problems with the MK2 and QLab, it sounds like it is possible that your preferences got corrupted or reset.

Check the preferences for DMX Out to be sure that it is set to DMX-USB PRO.

Also check the preference settings for OSC or MIDI depending on what you used to connect QLab and LXConsole.

The latest build 3.5.1 (7622A) adds some additional reporting as to why the "Hardware is not able to use api2" message is displayed.
