We have a couple of intelligent lights (Martin MH6 & MH7) that we cannot find in the fixture library and we were wondering if there was a way to expand it. We have tried to patch the fixtures manually but there were some sub-channels missing. Is there a way to make custom sub-channels?

Fixture library
The Setup window's channels tab allows you to define custom subchannels.
The built in subchannels in the current version of LXConsole include most of the attributes defined in GDTF. These won't necessarily have the exact name used by a manufacturer. But, picking one that is close enough is probably OK. You could use the same attribute/subchannel for two different fixture types even if it does different things in each. The only problem would come about if you have multiple channels selected that include different types and try to adjust the subchannel with different exact meaning. In practice, this is probably unlikely because you are generally going to select a group of fixtures of the same type unless adjusting something common like intensity.
