Independent times in fixture

Post by alberto »

in a fixture rgb + dimer, is it possible to have different entry times for intensity and color?
ex: color time in 0 seconds and intensity in 10 seconds

Yes, you need to use multiple parts to the cue.

Here is how you would accomplish the example asked about:

-------------------------------------

1) Assuming that the cue has just been recorded in live mode, press the following keys, [t] [1] [0] [return] to set the time to 10 seconds.

2) Press the [p] key to have it expand into 'part:'.

3) Then press, [2] [return], to add a second part to the cue. You will be asked to confirm. After adding a part, it will be the one that is currently active.

4) Either use the command line to enter the desired channels or click on them in the main display to select them.

5) Choose Channel->Set Hilited to Current Part. You will be asked which subchannels should be set to the current part (which is part 2). Uncheck "Intensity" and click OK.

6) Press [t] [0] [return] to set the time of part 2 to zero.

-------------------------------------

Times always are assigned to the current part, which is usually the only part. When editing in "Cues" mode (blind, not live) the current part for a multi-part cue is indicated next to the cue number field in the "Cue Info" tab. You can also view and edit the times of cues and their parts in the Cue List tab.
