how to import key symbol
I would like to import new symbol to make a new fixture, in format DXF for example. Is it possible?
Symbols can be created out of primitive graphics. To do this, select the graphic elements and choose Format->Convert->To Key Entry With Custom Symbol.
You need to decide on the kind of key entry, your symbol represents. But after that step, your key will contain a new entry with your new symbol.
In order for the potential new symbol to be correctly sized and oriented so that it works like other symbols, you should construct it to it faces to the right side of the screen. It should also be the appropriate size.
You can use graphics imported from DXF to create a symbol. You may need to adjust the graphic so it meets the above two requirements. It can be useful to group individual lines etc. so that a set of graphics can be rotated and re-sized.

For the latest version, 1.7.4, there are commands in the Format menu, Flip Horizontally and Flip Vertically. Older versions you can use the mirror commands in the popup in the drawing tab of the Inspector (next to move and duplicate). These commands mirror across the x/y axis of the plot.
A path can be filled when it encloses a space. If you are creating a path using the Selection to Path command, it is necessary to be sure that you select segments in an order such that their end points match and they form a continuous outline. If you do not do this, it is possible that the outline may not fill even though it appears to enclose a space. With the latest version, 1.7.4, there is an Edit->Select->Connected Lines that will help select lines by matching their endpoints.
