New feature requests

Post by lanternz »

Can we have the position labels appear in the section views?

Can the section views be editable? Particularly for beam height?

Can I see a shin buster boom focus in the front section?

Can the inspector be resize-able so that we can see all of an instrument's information?

Can we have the instrument type appear in the inspector - in the same way that MLP showed it on the menu bar?

Can the key block update like MLP when I click it?

Is the title block going to be editable?

Thanks for the suggestions.

The key and title blocks in LXFree are not like their counterparts in MacLux Pro. In MacLux Pro the title and key blocks are fixed with limited options. In LXFree the Add Title Block and Add Key Block commands generate a grouped collection of ordinary graphic objects. You can Ungroup them and rearrange them however you wish.

Try Print, then Open in Preview, then Save As to create a PICT

Hi,

Although the Print and Save to PDF method works there is a drawback. If you have a plot that you print on multiple pages, to get a single page PDF you need to adjust the page setup and document size before printing the PDF. And presumably change the page setup back after.

Because of this, the latest version of LXFree, 1.1.5, now includes an Export->PDF menu command. It may be useful to open this PDF in Preview so it can be saved as a JPG or other format. So, there is also a new preference that automatically opens the exported PDF with the Preview application.
