This is fixed in 1.9.6 (5331). The key block was modified when default marks were added. Symbols with default marks are shown with them in the key. The previous beta was looking for a font for marks to use in the key block, even when the font was not present and not needed.

Default marks are part of a symbol's info. When a symbol with a default mark is drawn, the default is automatically entered in the light's info and shown as an info text field. This makes the style of plot where the degrees of an instrument are shown (instead of lines and slashes) much easier.

I'm using LXFree for Java (1.0.10, Build 4206) and cannot create a key block in my plots.

The issue with the key block in LXFree for Java 1.0.10 should be fixed in 1.0.14.

Note: On Windows, it is necessary to use the control panel to uninstall LXFree for Java before installing a new version.
