My drawing is in metric format and if I export a dxf and then import that into Vectorworks for example I find that 1 meter seems to measure at 988mm. Is this inherent in the conversion from a native imperial measurement app or is there a way to get around this? The 1meter scale I am measuring is from a scale bar I placed on my LxBeams drawing that was numerically entered at that spacing.

The Latest Build: 5.3.1 (13916.1) of LXBeams increases the accuracy of the metric conversion by a few decimal places. Does this improve your results?

Problem solved - measured distance now comes out perfectly at 1000mm in Vectorworks per 1m Lx Beams. Thanks.
