Moving Fixtures to a different/new layer

Post by Kgreene1983 »

Hi.

Just trying to get my head around LXbeams.

How do I change the layer an object is currently in.

Thanks

Select the object(s).

Choose Format->Arrange->Send to Layer...

Pick the layer from the popup list in the sheet.

Click OK.

Are there any limitations as to what layer can be used when doing this?

The only limitation is that in order for a fixture to interact with a position, they must be on the same layer.

The position can also be on a layer that is selectable. However, it is easy to forget that the selectability of the layer is related to linking the fixture to the position. So this workaround requires some thought. (of the position and fixture on the same layer limitation).
