I am just beginning to get to grips with iCloud. A plot created on my iMac I have succeeded in uploading to iCloud. On my iPad Air LX can see the iCloud version and has loaded it. However the page is blank. The title of the plot is in the top of the page. If I go to files i get

iCloud Files and then the name of the file with a tick
I am obviously missing something, just don't know what.
It sounds like you have correctly loaded the plot. It is possible, that the actual file is promised by iCloud and not actually downloaded on your Pad yet.
