Hi, There is nothing that has changed in the printing area for a while. There are sometimes unintended consequences of other changes. But, even so, nothing recent that has been changed has anything to do with something that would affect pages or printing. I did check the printing on a number of my p...

The latest version offsets the mapped locations of a position as it is duplicated or mirrored. Like other information in LXFree, there is no need to copy/paste between multiple locations because LXFree supports simultaneous editing of multiple selected objects. If you select several positions at the...

Thanks for the suggestions. The key and title blocks in LXFree are not like their counterparts in MacLux Pro. In MacLux Pro the title and key blocks are fixed with limited options. In LXFree the Add Title Block and Add Key Block commands generate a grouped collection of ordinary graphic objects. You...

LXFree is not MacLux Pro and it cannot open MacLux Pro files. MacLux Pro 2.2 can export .lxx files which transfer most of the information from a MacLux Pro plot to other applications. The .lxx file format is XML based and is designed to be a general format that can be read by applications running on...

What you see in the "Create Report" sheet is a popup menu listing the report templates that LXFree found when it started up. In the standard installation, "Channel List" is the first report found that is why it is selected in the popup when it first appears. (Click on the popup t...

Beams are objects in the drawing albeit temporary ones. If you'd like to get to a beam that is drawn beneath another, use the "Send To Back" command to move the overlapping beam back in the drawing order. Beams can also be "locked" to prevent them from being accidentally moved. B...

Like many parts of the LXSeries design, the structure of .lxsymbols files is very simple and XML based. It is meant to be open and extendable. I'd be happy to help with documentation for anyone who wants to create a conversion to .lxsymbols files The LXSymbols editor does allow you to paste an image...

LXFree looks at the 3D locations of objects to set the size of the section view. By default, zero height is used for the lower border. So, you are correct that in order to have it display negative heights, you need to include an object with a negative location.

LXFree's "Find" panel has been improved to allow you to select only results matching the currently selected symbol in the same way that MacLux Pro does. (v1.1.1) If you leave the find term blank and search in "All" fields, while the "Matches Symbol" option is checked, y...

Peter, The PDF format can hold many types of data-both vector and bitmap and/or a combination. PDF is the native format of Mac OS-X and LXFree imports PDF as it exists without altering it in any way. The operating system handles the entire process. My guess is that the PDF you have is primarily a bi...
